Swim lessons are 30 minutes and come in packages of 5.

Prices are as follows:

- Private lessons member rate- $175
- Private lessons non-member rate- $195
- Private lessons w/ Marty Silverberg $250
- Semi-private lessons available.  Call us for details

Private Lessons - Available for all members Monday - Sunday.
Women's and Men's only lessons available.
There are no set times or days for private lessons. We will try and accommodate each client as long as the requested time does not interfere with our classes/clinics
We also offer group swim lessons.  Contact member services for the next session.

*All lessons must be paid for in advance or by the 1st lesson.

Blue Water Divers swim accessories are available for sale at the member services desk.

Children under 12 are not permitted in the member locker rooms at any time. They must use family locker rooms located in Funxions. Parents And Students:

NO STROLLERS ALLOWED IN ANY LOCKER ROOMS OR ON THE POOL DECK

RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR GROUP AND PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

ALL TUITION FEES are to be paid in full upon registration.

NO REFUNDS of tuition fees will be made.

REGULAR ATTENDANCE is expected of ALL  students. Progress cannot be achieved with intermittent absence.  If a student is ILL, and it is reported to the club and the instructor at least 24 hours before the day of absence, the student will be offered a make-up class based on the availability of the instructor and student.

Please call (845) 356-1900 to notify LifePlex of cancellation  AND call your instructor.

All students must go directly to the FAMILY LOCKER ROOMS and change into proper swim attire. Please bring your own towel.

Students arriving early for class may wait quietly in the café / lounge area and must leave the pool area immediately after class. All swim students under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a Parent / Guardian to avoid running around, or wandering into other areas of the club.

CLUB LOCKER ROOMS, SPA, SAUNA, AND STEAM ROOM ARE OFF LIMITS TO NON-MEMBER STUDENTS AND CHILDREN. They are for members only and unsafe for children.

PER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT and in the interest of our members & the students (and to keep the pool clean and clutter free) there will be NO SPECTATORS IN THE POOL AREA.  USE THE POOL VIEWING AREA.

Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your lesson to ensure enough time to change and use the toilets in the café area before entering the pool.

To avoid taking time from another lesson, personal discussion on the progress and/or problems must be confined to the first few or the last few minutes of your lesson.

Equipment needed:  Swim suit (no gym shorts or cut-offs), TOWEL, goggles, cap for long hair.

The number of persons permitted in the pool area is regulated by

the Health Dept. The capacity of this facility is posted and admission will be limited to same.

2.

Proper swimming attire required at all times. Cut off or rolled up

pants are not permitted for swimming.

3.

The club reserves the right to close the pool for cause (i.e.

equipment failure, utility failure, etc.) In the event of facility closure, all persons will be asked to leave the pool area.

4.

DIVING is NOT permitted anywhere, except under supervision of

an instructor / coach.

5.

Health Department rules for sanitation and safety must be observed

by every patron.  It is mandatory that infants are in swim diapers and accompanied by a parent / guardian. .  Persons with physical disorders such as skin lesions, inflamed eyes, nose, mouth, or ear discharges or bandages, may not swim or use spa.  Spitting or other discharges into pool prohibited.

Alcoholic beverages prohibited in pool area.


7.

Smoking is not permitted in any area.


8.

Food is restricted to café / lounge area of the club.


9.

Pets are not permitted in any area of the club.


10.

No glass containers of any kind permitted in pool, on decks or in

locker areas. Approved competitive swim goggles are recommended. Corrective lenses may be attached to approved swim goggles at a very reasonable cost by most opticians.

11.

The following are not permitted in swimming pool areas: ball playing

(exception: supervised water polo, etc.) pushing, dunking, running or boisterous conduct, toys, play devices, disruptive behavior.

12.

LAP LANES are for CONTINUOUS DISTANCE SWIMMERS

ONLY.  Traffic should flow much like driving a car; stay to the right, and swim in line.  Pass on the left, and fall back into line. Swim in lane designated for your ability / speed.  Be COURTEOUS to other lap swimmers.

13.

All children must be accompanied by an adult who will assume full

responsibility for the child’s safety. Children will only be admitted during special events, such as instructional classes, parties and family swims. NO ENTRY TO CLUB LOCKER ROOMS PERMITTED!

Mommy & Me (Daddy & Me)
Caters to children 6 months to 2 years old. It consists of 6 classes  and parents are expected to participate with their child in the pool. This class teaches water readiness skills, confidence in the water and also builds the relationship between parent and baby. There will be some instances where this class will be held during women's only swim so please contact us for scheduling or if you have any questions.

The cost of lessons is reduced for members and their families, and the rates are posted in the enclosed bulletin board in the pool, along with Aqua Aerobic schedules, articles of interest to improve your workouts, and general information. If you require further information, or have any questions about our aquatic programs, please contact our Program Director, Meryl Reffsin. Our Aquatic Director, Marty Silverberg has over 53 years experience within the aquatic industry. His experience includes  coaching, instruction, lifeguard training and all aspects of facility management. Marty recently retired from the town of Clarkstown where he ran the public pools for 29 years. He has taught more than 10,000 people the art of swimming.  Together they form a professional, knowledgable and experienced team.

Pee-Wee & Me is the same concept as Mommy and Me, but is geared towards children ages 2-4.

Swimming and Diving Instructor for 23 years.  Current Head Coach of North Rockland Girls Swimming and Diving Team.  Presently a Technique and Strokes Coach with the New York Sharks Aquatics. Previous Rockland County Coach of the Year.  Current Section 1 Girls Swimming and Diving Executive Committee Member.  Current Aquatic Director at Camp Ramaquois. Coordinator of the North Rockland Central School Districts Learn To Swim Program and the North Rockland Spring Swim Instruction Program.

Jennifer Hesse-Muchnick - Education (MS + 60 credits) Masters of Science in Multi-cultural Education & Bachelors in Biological Sciences with Teacher Certification. Teacher of AP Biology and Earth Science at North Rockland High School. Previous Director of Aquatics at Robin Hill Camp. Assistant Varsity Swim Coach at North Rockland High School. Swim Instructor since 1992. Co-Coordinator of North Rocklands Learn To Swim Program and the North Rockland Spring Swim Instruction Program.

We are committed and dedicated to teaching and instructing in a fun and safe environment. We hire outstanding instructors. We pride ourselves on being positive role models in order to produce an environment that is conducive to learning.
         Instruction focuses on developing proper breathing patterns and body alignment throughout all competitive and recreational strokes and turns. Additionally, we will provide exposure to safety within the aquatic environment. We emphasize progressive skills and techniques that encompass dry-land work, demonstrations, review and practice and a variety of instructional tools. All instructional classes insure maximum learning opportunities by maintaining small instructor/participant ratios.
