Carl enjoyed a distinguished career in franchising, approaching some forty years.
He joined Carvel Corporation as their Director of Public Relations and grew into the
role of Vice-President at the age of thirty-one.
He left to become the Co-Founder/Chief Operating Officer of the Haagen-Dazs
Franchise System which developed two hundred forty-seven retail shops until it's
acquisition, Carl accepted the post of President of Country Epicure, a premium
manufacturer and retailer of baked goods.
Following the sale of the company, Carl joined Nathan's Famous Corporation where
he served in senior executive roles as Director, President and Senior Vice-President.
He additionally retained the position of Senior Vice-President for subsidiary
companies Miami Subs and Kenny Rogers Roasters. He retired from active service
on December 30, 2004. Carl was a member of the International Council of Shopping
Centers, sat on the Board of Governors of MUFSO (Multi Unit Food Service
Organization). He lectured at various institutions of higher learning including: C.W.
Post, Marymount College, Brooklyn College and Hofstra University on the subject of
Franchising.
He has been a member of LifePlex, together with his wife, since its inception. Carl
was born, raised and educated in New York.
